Parenting & family support

Kids and families can find the support they need at LifeWorks NW. We help children, teens, young adults, and caregivers with mental health, alcohol or drug use, and family stressors. We offer early support, prevention programs, and more intensive care in our clinics and treatment homes or in the community.

Families trust LifeWorks NW

Our team has provided child and youth mental health services for more than 60 years. Families choose LifeWorks NW because we provide care for the whole family at different stages of need. When you are a LifeWorks NW client, your care goes beyond traditional one-on-one therapy. With community-based programs, parenting support, groups and classes, skill-building, and more, we help families find care that fits their lives.

How we help

We support people from infancy through adulthood. Programs provide care in many settings: at one of our clinics, at a Children’s Relief Nursery [link], in our Day Treatment [link] center, at our young adult residential treatment homes, or in the community.

At all levels of care, our care team is ready to support you and your family’s needs. Some of our specialty programs and prevention services include:

  • Mental health care and education for children (ages 5 to 10) and youth (ages 11 to 18) with psychiatric conditions [link]
  • Home visiting and child development support for families, including parenting help and connections to community resources[link]
  • A prevention program for Latino families that offers parenting guidance, resources, and classes
  • Specialized support for teens and young adults with early symptoms of psychosis [link]
  • Strengths-based treatment for young adults ages 16 to 24 with severe mental illness, including life skills, housing support, and psychiatric treatment [link]

Services are available in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Once you connect with us, we can help you find the program that fits your needs.
