For most mental health and addiction services, you do not need a referral. Our first step is to schedule an intake appointment. Some people feel nervous or unsure at their first visit. That is common, especially when starting mental health care. If that happens, that is ok. At your appointment, we will learn about your needs and goal, answer your questions, and help find the care that fits you best. We will also help schedule your next visit.
We offer individual therapy, group counseling, and skills training opportunities in person at sites across Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Our sites are easy to access by public transit. We can also help if transportation is a challenge.
Many of our services are available via telehealth or a hybrid format. We use Zoom for secure visits. If you schedule a telehealth visit, we will send you connection details by text, email, or both. For all telehealth visits, new rules require both you and your provider keep your camera on.
Some of our programs include home visits. If you are in one of these programs, a member of your care team can meet with you at your home, in a park, or in another place where you feel comfortable.
Feeling connected is an important part of care at LifeWorks NW. In many of our programs, group classes help you to learn new skills and connect with others who have similar experiences. We offer classes for kids, families, and adults across many topics. Visit our calendar for more details.
If you are in crisis, contact your county crisis line (link) or dial 988. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.
Our Welcome Packet explains what to expect as a LifeWorks NW client. We will ask you to fill out forms for consent to treatment, release of information, and basic personal details.
We accept CareOregon/Oregon Health Plan (OHP). If you need help signing up for the Oregon Health Plan, call us at 503-645-9010. Some specialty programs also accept Trillium Community Health Plan.
Our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) offer a sliding fee scale. We will not turn anyone away because they cannot pay.
LifeWorks NW offers comprehensive mental health, addiction, and prevention services for all ages.
