When facing mental health or addiction challenges, sometimes you need immediate help. Our crisis team provides urgent services at the Hawthorn Walk-In Center in Hillsboro and in the community to Washington County residents.

Crisis support at Hawthorn Walk-In Center

If you live in Washington County and need urgent help with mental health or addictions issues, call 503-291-9111. The crisis line is answered 24/7 by trained professionals who can help you over the phone, connect you with in-person care at our Hawthorn site, or arrange for a crisis team to come to you.

The Hawthorn Walk-in Center accepts walk-ins on weekdays from 9 am to 7 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm.

If you or someone you care about is experiencing the early signs of a mental health crisis, seeking help right away allows our team of skilled and caring professionals to put a support system in place and chart a path forward for treatment.

Warning signs include:

  • Confusion
  • A long period of depression
  • Extreme highs and lows
  • Excessive fears, worries, or anxieties
  • Social withdrawal
  • Severe changes in eating or sleeping habits
  • Intense anger
  • Strange thoughts (delusions)
  • Seeing or hearing things that aren’t there (hallucinations)
  • Difficulty coping with daily problems and activities
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Physical pains or problems
  • Substance use
