Healthy Families

Our Healthy Families program promotes healthy childhoods, supports positive parent-child relationships, and helps families access resources.

Washington County Early Connections may refer your child to Healthy Families through their Help Me Grow program. You can sign up during pregnancy or when your child is an infant.

Once in our program, our team of Family Support Specialists will meet with you and your family in your home or wherever you are comfortable. Your Family Support Specialist can help you with:

  • Understanding early child development
  • Building a strong parent-child relationship
  • Addressing parenting stress and mental health
  • Developing a solid family plan
  • Accessing resources for housing, food, health care, and other basic needs

Visits usually start off weekly and may become less frequent as your child gets older. Services can continue until your child is three years old. All services are free and voluntary.

LifeWorks NW’s Healthy Families is part of a national program called Healthy Families America. Healthy Families America is the largest early childhood home visiting program in the country.
