Family & Community Alliance (FCA)

Family & Community Alliance (FCA) is a free, voluntary and short-term program offered to families with children. Family advocates provide personalized support and advocacy for parents and caregivers in the job of parenting by collaborating with them to find solutions to challenges they may face to help families thrive.

Our Family Advocates can help you with:

  • Parent-child relationships
  • Parent education
  • School success for children
  • Accessing basic needs
  • Self-care and recreation

To participate, families must:

  • Reside in the city of Portland
  • Be referred by DHS, child welfare services

Once in our program, one of our Family Advocates will meet with you to learn more about your needs and goals. They will work with you to get support services for you and your family’s wellbeing through our community, resources, and home visits.

All services are free and voluntary.

LifeWorks NW’s FCA program operates in partnership with Multnomah County DHS and is funded by the Portland Children’s Levy.
