Evelyn Bartling-John, QMHP-R

Evelyn says, “Appreciating other’s lived/cultural experiences is an earned privilege. During cross-cultural work, I’m a ‘guest’ in someone’s cultural ‘home,’ and honor that clients are the expert while engaging in continuous self-reflection and learning. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for individuals from diverse communities—including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, disabled, neurodivergent, and religious or spiritual backgrounds—while remaining welcoming to people from all walks of life. Consistent with a client-centered approach, I also respect and support individuals who prefer not to define themselves through identity labels, emphasizing each person’s unique and self-directed sense of identity.”

She strives to create a compassionate, inclusive space grounded in curiosity and understanding—where vulnerability and self-expression are welcomed, and challenges are approached with openness, practical analysis, and creativity. She balances warmth and flexibility with transparent, direct communication and a focus on actionable change.

“Connecting with people fills my cup,” Evelyn says. “It’s also deeply fulfilling to work with different people as it expands my perspective and deepens my appreciation for the human experience.”

Outside of work, Evelyn enjoys a variety of creative activities, including drawing, painting, sculpting, and experimenting with new recipes. She also appreciates spending time in nature, running, connecting with friends, and attending performing arts events.”
