2021 Portland’s Original Iron Chef
September 30, 2021
Every six minutes, there is a report of child abuse or neglect in Oregon. At LifeWorks NW, we are fighting to keep children safe and families strong through the proven programs at our Children’s Relief Nurseries.
Portland’s Original Iron Chef is a culinary fundraiser that raises critical funds for LifeWorks NW to meet the demand for services, extending our reach to help young children and their families thrive. The 2020 event raised more than $100,000 that will help prevent child abuse and neglect. We hope the event will be in person in 2021 and will continue to update you as the year progresses.
Thanks to the many supporters who joined us live online for the exclusive chef cooking demonstration from our 2019 Portland’s Original Iron Chef Champion, Jackson Wyatt, Von Ebert Brewing. Our evening also included great demos from Chef Beau Carr and Chef Bryant Kryck, past event participants, who were back to support our Children’s Relief Nurseries.
2020 Event Recap
Philanthropists and friends from across the country joined us virtually on October 1 and raised over $100,000 for our Children’s Relief Nurseries. These funds will directly support the Relief Nurseries’ work to keep kids safe and build strong families. 2019 Champion Chef Jackson Wyatt of Von Ebert Brewing entertained supporters with an exciting cooking demonstration of delicious fall foods. Mark your calendars – Chef Jackson is looking forward to defending his title on September 30 in Portland’s Original Iron Chef 2021!
