2021 Portland’s Original Iron Chef
September 23-26, 2021
Register beginning August 4, 2021
Every six minutes, there is a report of child abuse or neglect in Oregon. LifeWorks NW’s Children’s Relief Nurseries work to keep children safe and families strong through our proven prevention programs.
Portland’s Original Iron Chef raises critical funds for LifeWorks NW to meet the demand for services, extending our reach to nourish and heal young children and help their families grow. The 2020 event raised more than $100,000 in support of our Children’s Relief Nurseries and the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
Your support will help us raise even more in 2021 with our hybrid fundraiser model, which will include a virtual program viewable in your home at your convenience. We are offering many ways to get involved and show your support for our Children’s Relief Nurseries:
- Host your own gathering of friends and family and support LifeWorks NW together!
- Start a bidding war in our online auction and WIN!
- Donate in support of our Children’s Relief Nurseries (stay tuned to learn how your gift could be doubled by our generous challenge sponsors!).
- Share our message of hope with those close to you and bring about change for Portland-area families and children.
Our local restaurants have been critical to the past success of Portland’s Original Iron Chef, and this year, it’s time that we give back. The restaurant industry has been hit especially hard by the pandemic, so we are encouraging you to show them some love by ordering food for your event celebration from one of our restaurant partners who have done so much over the years to be there for the children and families we support. More details to come!
2020 Event Recap
Philanthropists and friends from across the country joined us virtually on October 1 and raised over $100,000 for our Children’s Relief Nurseries. These funds will directly support the Relief Nurseries’ work to keep kids safe and build strong families. 2019 Champion Chef Jackson Wyatt of Von Ebert Brewing entertained supporters with an exciting cooking demonstration of delicious fall foods. Mark your calendars – Chef Jackson is looking forward to defending his title on September 30 in Portland’s Original Iron Chef 2021!
