What Can You Do to Protect or Limit Exposure?

At LifeWorks NW, your health and wellbeing are our first priority. With the Coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak, we must all work together to ensure everyone’s safety. We are working closely with the Oregon Health Authority, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the local health systems and are regularly updating our practices based on their guidelines.

  • Wash your hands when you arrive and before you leave anywhere, and often during the day.
  • Use soap and water for 20 seconds when you wash. If not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick (no hugs or shaking hands, and definitely don’t share dishes or utensils).
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are often touched.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
  • Take care of your health overall. Stay up-to-date on vaccinations, eat well, get plenty of sleep and exercise.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue and then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Check CDC’s travel website for any advisories to protect yourself if you plan to travel outside of the US.
  • Since most local schools are closed for the next two weeks, keep your children home. Don’t visit parks, movies or other locations where many people gather.
  • Currently, there is no recommendation in the United States for healthy people to wear masks while in public spaces.
