Family Support & Connections

Family Support & Connections (FS&C) is a short-term program for families with children that provides parenting support and skills development. With the help of a Family Advocate, you can work toward your family’s goals.

"Our program is special in so many ways," says Gina Newell, Family Advocate, Family Support & Connections. "As a Family Advocate, I get to be inspired daily by clients as they work towards goals that not only improve their lives, but improve the strength of our community."

Our Family Advocates can help you with:

  • Budgeting
  • Health care
  • Basic needs
  • Employment resources
  • Parenting support

Once in our program, one of our Family Advocates will meet with you to learn more about your needs and goals. They will work with you and your family in whatever ways are most supportive to you, and may visit with you in your home, school, or in the community.

All services are free and voluntary.

If you would like to participate in Family Support & Connections, you must:

  • Live in Multnomah County or Washington County
  • Have at least one child under the age of 18 in your household
  • Self-identify as having low income
  • Not have an open child welfare case
