LifeWorks NW
2024 Progress Report
LifeWorks NW promotes a health community by providing quality and culturally responsive mental health and addiction services across the lifespan. We offer services throughout Washington County, Multnomah County, and Clackamas County.
ADHD
In 2024, the CDC issued a warning the medications used to treat ADHD may be disrupted, making prescriptions harder to fill. For children or youth, these medications can be critical to ongoing growth, development, and education. At LifeWorks NW, we strive to maintain stable access to care and medication for our clients, including ADHD meds.
"At LifeWorks NW, my therapist has really helped me in those moments of frustration. When I feel stuck or like there is something I Can't do, she has helped me use my mind and the resources I do have to find a different path to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Everything that knocks me down, we talk it through and figure out what to do."
- Robin, LifeWorks NW client
Preventing hospitalization
One of the important ways we contribute to improved health in Oregon is by working to prevent unnecessary mental health-related hospitalization. It's our goal to provide clients with the care and resources they need to stay stable and health while living in the community. When any of our clients has a hospital discharge, we work to provide rapid access to clinical care and support.
Over the last few months, our Enhanced Adult Mental Health Services team has worked to not just establish consistent and experienced leadership and staff, but to also create easy pathways for incoming clients. We want to ease the pathway into care for clients living with complex needs, so we offer either a set day or set time for an intake appointment or a drop-in option called Open Access.

Supporting Zero Suicide
Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in Oregon. Our work toward Zero Suicide underscores our belief that integrated behavioral health care can help to reduce preventable deaths. We screen 100% of clients for suicidality at intake because we know it is a key to unlocking increased supporting mental health and wellbeing for all. LifeWorks NW is proud to be a leader in Oregon for ensuring that symptoms of suicidality are recognized and promptly addressed.
