2017 Portland’s Original Iron Chef
Nearly 400 guests filled the Grand Kridel Ballroom at the Portland Art Museum and raised record-setting funds for our Children’s Relief Nurseries. With a passion for fighting child abuse and neglect, attendees generously gave more than $220,000 to support the Relief Nurseries’ work to keep kids safe and build strong families. Chef Chip Barnes of Alto Bajo restaurant took top honors as the people’s choice for the 2017 Portland’s Original Iron Chef title.
2016 Portland’s Original Iron Chef
More than 300 people gathered at the Portland Art Museum on Thursday, Oct. 20, to show their support for LifeWorks NW’s Children’s Relief Nurseries. As a result, more than $125,000 was raised to help our St. John’s Relief Nursery and satellites in Gladstone and Hillsboro continue their work to support children and families at risk of child abuse and neglect. Chefs Dustin Koerner and Yen Tejada of Andina took the 2016 Iron Chef title, while guests bid during the live auction and enjoyed food and fun throughout the evening.
2015 Portland’s Original Iron Chef
Congratulations, to Jin Soo Yang of Bamboo Sushi, who took home the title of Portland’s Original Iron Chef at this year’s event. Thank you to everyone who helped make our 2015 Portland’s Original Iron Chef a resounding success! A special shout out to Joe Donlon and Rich Ulring, our remarkable co-emcees, who graciously supported our mission by bringing awareness to our cause. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to all of our amazing sponsors, The Standard, FamilyCare, Legacy Health, NW Natural, Columbia Bank, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon, Genoa, a QoL Healthcare Company, and the University of Portland. Together, we netted more than $80,000 in support of LifeWorks NW’s Relief Nurseries, working to prevent child abuse and neglect in our community!
