Lewinsohn named Clinical Director at LifeWorks NW |
LifeWorks NW has announced the appointment of Mark Lewinsohn, PhD to the position of clinical director for the organization. Lewinsohn had been serving as service director of child and family services, which oversees prevention as well as child and family programs. He has over 20 years of experience in working with children and families. |

Young Children’s Day Treatment |
LifeWorks NW is honored to welcome the Children’s Psychiatric Day Treatment Center, now operating under Oregon Health Sciences University, to the LifeWorks NW system of children’s services. The program will officially transfer from OHSU to LifeWorks NW on October 1, 2007 and its name will change to the Young Children’s Day Treatment Program. |

Waiting List Overflows for 1st Annual African American Family Event |
Created as an event to strengthen and support African American families in our community, the day full of workshops, resources, entertainment and good food, will begin with Degruy-Leary’s presentation “History, Injury, and Healing: Learning to struggle well.” Workshops will include Gambling Addiction, Youth Involvement/ Empowerment (with Renee Mitchell/Nappy Roots Press and Madgesdiq), African Refugee & Immigrant Issues, as well as Early Childhood/Parenting and many more pertinent issues. Over 20 community organizations will be participating in the events resource fair.

LifeWorks NW Enters East Multnomah County |
LifeWorks NW is proud to announce the opening of its newest multi-service site located in the Rockwood area of Portland. The site opened its doors in late 2005 and is currently providing mental health and addiction services to children and families, adults and older adults.
